You can offer your customers various payment methods. They're divided into two types:
- Manual payment methods, such as payment in advance, invoice, or cash.
- Online payment methods, such as PayPal. Here, providers handle the entire payment process on your behalf and then pass the money on to you.
You should ideally offer your customers several payment methods. This will reduce the chance of customers cancelling their order, because you do not offer their preferred payment method.
How to arrange payment methods
The payment methods available for your customers are listed in a set order as shown below:
You can set the order in your cockpit with the following steps:
- In the sidebar of the cockpit, navigate to Settings > Shop.
- Select Payment.
You will now see a list of all activated payment methods.
