Overview
Here you can see the four main areas of your cockpit:
- The work space (1) is the area in which you work most of the time.
- Using the sidebar (2) you can navigate through the different options of the cockpit.
- Depending on the view you're currently on, you have different options in the top bar (3). For example, select Open website preview in order to directly get to your website, save your changes, or add a new product.
Note
The link that leads to your website changes into Open website view once you have set your website live. - Similar to the top bar, the bottom bar (4) is a dynamic element that can offer different options, depending on the page you are currently working on. It can, for example, offer the possibility to save your changes or delete a product.
You can additionally see a support widget: . When you select it, you can, for example, search for articles in the Help center or ask our chatbot a question (not yet available for all).
The work space
Let's dive deeper into the part that occupies the biggest area in your cockpit: the work space.
In most views, the work space is divided into several cards, e.g. the Basics and the Images card in the Edit product view. This way, each view is separated into related sections which makes it easier for you to navigate through the view and manage your website.
Depending on the view you are currently working on, you can find different elements and settings on the cards, such as tables, checkboxes, and input fields. Some of these input fields are marked with an *. This asterisk indicates that the field is mandatory and that you need to enter or select something.
In the addition to cards, you'll find breadcrumbs on the top of the work space:
These breadcrumbs help you to navigate through the cockpit as they show the path to the page you are currently on. This way you can keep an overview and easily take steps back at any time.
The sidebar
The sidebar lets you navigate through the following menu items:
- The Dashboard is the first page you will see after logging in. It displays a task list that helps you to keep track of the most important aspects while setting up your online business. Select the task you want to work on to get started. After you have completed a task, it will automatically be displayed as ticked off. You'll also find your website statistics here if this feature is included in your website package and your website has been set live.
- Under Editor, you'll find everything related to the design and content of your website. Here, you can, for example, edit your content elements and layout, choose the theme of your website and adjust your legal information.
- Under Products, you can add and manage your products and categories.
- Select Orders to manage your orders.
- Select Customers to manage your customers.
- Under Marketing you can create coupon campaigns and offer discounts to your customers. You'll also find installed tools that can help you to promote your online business and analyze your website's performance.
- Under Settings you'll find your website settings, settings related to your online shop (i.e. payment, shipping, pickup as well as order documents and order-related emails), your domain management (i.e. where you can connect your own domain) and your account settings (i.e. where you can change your email, password and personal details as well as optionally allow support staff to access your cockpit for faster support service). Your location management, where you set pickup spots and provide information about opening hours, is also located here.
- Select Apps to see an overview of all available apps for your cockpit.
- Select Help & Support to find a link to the Help center and your support's contact information.
- Under Help Center search, you can enter keywords in the input field to quickly find fitting help center articles.
- By selecting Logout, you will be logged out of your cockpit.
Now you know all the important areas of your cockpit and are ready to set up your website.
