Lifecycle emails for orders are an important part of your customer communication. That's why you can customize the email bodies of these emails according to your business concept. Decide, how you'd like to address your customers and which information you'd like to give them.

How to customize your order emails
- In the sidebar of your cockpit, navigate to Settings > Shop.
- Select Order documents & emails.
- Navigate to the card Custom texts for order-related emails.
- On that card, you'll find several input fields for the different emails that are sent to your customers:
- Order confirmation email
- Canceled order email
- Invoice email
- Invoice correction email
- Ready to ship order email
- Shipped order email
- Ready for pickup order email
- Picked up order email
- Returned order email
The input fields are already prefilled with the current default text. If you'd like to exchange that text with your own customized text, enter the text of your liking in the related input field and overwrite the default texts.
Note
The salutation and the greetings of the email are provided via the system. Please don't add these parts in the input field.
Once you've entered your custom text for the first time, the default text won't be available. Thus, make sure to always provide a custom text after overwriting the default text once. - Select Save.
The default text is now replaced by your custom text.

Customizing the text of your order-related emails can be used to adapt them to your corporate language. Here are some further tips and tricks that you should have in mind when doing so:
- If you offer the payment method Payment in advance, you can enter your bank data in the order confirmation email or in the invoice email.
- If you'd like to use HTML in your customized texts, these are the HTML tags that are allowed:
