Add a logo
Adding a logo to order documents is a good way to signal your customers that this correspondence comes from your website. On the card Logo for order documents you can upload a logo that will be added to all of your order documents.
- In the sidebar of your cockpit, navigate to Settings > Shop.
- Select Order documents & emails.
- On the card Logo for order documents, select Add logo and browse through the image files on your device. You can also drag and drop the logo from your image files onto Add logo.
- Select Save.
Note
The logo occupies an area of 1140 x 420 (width x height in pixels). If you upload an image with deviating dimensions, the logo will not be properly sized on your document. Your Corporate Identity might specify otherwise, e.g. a left-aligned logo, see example below. In this case you need to edit your image file accordingly.Fill out your business information
Depending on the country-specific legal requirements, you as a merchant must provide certain information on the order documents that you send. This might be something like the commercial register or your VAT ID. On the card Business information for order documents you can fill out all the fields that apply to you.
- In the sidebar of your cockpit, navigate to Settings > Shop.
- Select Order documents & emails.
- On the card Business information for order documents fill those fields with content that should appear on your order documents.
Note
To enter your bank details, you have the option of entering either your IBAN or your bank account number together with the bank sort code.
If you need to make additional notes on your business such as mentioning board members or chairmans, you can use the field Optional information in footer. - Select Save.
Add custom texts to order documents
Custom texts might come in handy for you if you want to give your customers additional information on the shipment date, add some advertisement or comments on your order documents.
- In the sidebar of your cockpit, navigate to Settings > Shop.
- Select Order documents & emails.
- On the card Custom texts for order documents fill those fields with content, that should appear on your order documents. To make life easier for you, the software comes with placeholders, so that you can imagine, what to put in each of the fields.
- Note on shipment date for invoice documents (not for pickup orders): Here you can note down an info on the shipment date, such as "The shipment date corresponds to the invoice date." This note will not be displayed on invoice documents for pickup orders.
- Additional information on invoice: Use this field to advertise or make a special message to your customer, such as "Visit our local store in Downtown Manhattan." or "We ship CO2 neutral."
- Note on returned/canceled items: This is where you can place a note for your customer regarding the handling of returned or canceled items. In terms of payment you can e.g. add "Please reduce the amount of the original invoice accordingly. If you have already paid the original invoiced amount, we will refund the amount using the original payment method." The note will only be displayed on invoice corrections that are triggered by returned or canceled items. It won't be displayed on invoice corrections that are triggered by an address change.
- Select Save.
