Check the pickup status of your orders
Similarly to the shipping statuses, a pickup order can either have the status: not ready for pickup, ready for pickup, order cancelled, picked up, returned or partially returned
The status of each order is displayed on the view Order overview:
- In the sidebar of your cockpit, select Orders.
- Check the Shipping / Pickup status column. Here you can see the current pickup status of the order:
This allows you to see directly which orders have already been picked up and which orders still need to be prepared for pickup. To get an even better overview of all orders with a certain status, you can use the filters.
Details of the order
If you'd like to have a closer look at an order that has not been picked up yet or process a pickup further, you will find the necessary information by selecting the respective order on the view Order overview.
The four cards on the right side of the order editing page provide you with all the information you need to get an order ready for pickup, such as:
- Customer info (e.g. customer name)
- Pickup location
- Billing address
- Order timeline
On the Order details card, you can find further relevant information, such as ordered items.
Furthermore, your customers can add a comment during the checkout. This comment will also be displayed in that area, and might be relevant for the pickup process (e.g. "I would like to pick up the ordered items on a weekday").
Process pickup
Now that you've collected all the information that you need to prepare the order for pickup, it's time to process the pickup further. While doing so, you can track the pickup status of the respective order in your cockpit. Depending on your pickup process, you can either mark it as ready for pickup or picked up.
Mark an order as ready for pickup
After an order for pickup has been placed, it will be marked as not ready for pickup. Mark an order as ready for pickup once you have processed the order to the point at which the nicely wrapped up items are all set at the specified pickup location.
Here's what you need to do:
- In the sidebar of your cockpit, select Orders.
- From the Order overview, select the order you'd like to mark as ready for pickup.
- On the Order details card, select Process pickup.
You are prompted to the view Process pickup. - Here you have several options:
- Select Mark as ready for pickup (1).
- By selecting the checkbox Send confirmation email to customer (2) an email will be sent to the customer informing them that you started the pickup process for their order. This email will only be sent once you've saved your entries. If you do not want to send this email, disable the checkbox.
- You can add an internal comment in the Internal comment field (3). This comment will be displayed in the timeline of the order but won't be visible for your customer.
