Detect and repair broken/dead links
A broken link, also referred to as a “dead link”, is a link that doesn’t work. When visitors select a broken link, it fails to take them to the intended content.
There are multiple reasons for why a link breaks, for example, if a website is restructured which causes changes in the URL. That’s why you should regularly check if all links on your website are still working properly.
Internal links to a page/product only break if the linked content is deleted. For internal links, a broken link is indicated by the following icon:
To repair a broken link, select the linked text part/button and select next to the link field. This opens the link picker, where you can add a different link

or

Caution
When deleting content on your website, make sure to repair or remove any existing links to the now deleted content.
