Different use cases

Your message should be clear and concise to avoid overwhelming your visitors. Below you can find more tips and ideas for different ways to use the announcement bar.
General information
From time to time, you might want to share some general information with your visitors. For example, about an upcoming temporary shop closure during the holidays.
- One advantage of this is that you can keep the rest of your content as it is, since you don't have to add the information to other pages on your website.
- By using bold formatting, you can highlight the most important parts, such as the time span of your break.
Discounts
Discounts allow your customers to buy from your website at a lower price and can motivate them to place an order or even order more, which can increase your sales. For more information, also see Learn about marketing coupons.
- Highlight the most important information in bold, e.g. how much your customers can save (25%) and the coupon code (SUMMER25).
- By creating a specific coupon code for this offer, you can easily track the number of sales generated by the announcement bar.
- You can also add a call to action with a link to one of your product pages, like SHOP NOW.
New products & Information about next day shipping
By informing your visitors about new products, you may spark their curiosity and increase their engagement and thus potentially your sales. Combined with the information about next-day delivery, this can be a successful strategy.
- Place a call to action with a link at the front and format it in bold (Explore our New Arrivals).
- Present several pieces of information and separate them with a special character, like a straight line: |
Just make sure that you don't add too much information to avoid overwhelming your visitors.
