The recommended retail price (RRP), also known as the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP), is the price that the product's manufacturer recommends for the sale of the product. The purpose of the RRP is to keep the price of a product at the same level across all retailers.

How to specify the RRP
- In the sidebar of your cockpit, select Products.
- From the Product overview, select the product for which you would like to specify the RRP or add a new one.
- Scroll down to the Pricing card.
- Select the checkbox RRP. The input field is now editable.
- Enter the RRP in the input field RRP.
- Select Save.
That's how it looks like on the website
The price on your website is highlighted in red. The RRP is displayed above the price but is crossed out. Next to the RRP, your visitors will see a label indicating the percentage saved (rounded to a whole number) when ordering the product for the price on your website compared to the RRP. Furthermore, the RRP comes with the abbreviation RRP in order to clearly differentiate the RRP discount from a sale price discount. Note that the design of the RRP might slightly change depending on your chosen theme.
How do RRP and price relate?
Note
The RRP has to be higher than the price. The price for the product on your website serves as the basis for the percentage saved calculation. Thus, you cannot define an RRP without specifying the price beforehand.
How do RRP and sale price relate?
As soon as you set a sale price for a product, the RRP will not be shown for that product anymore. If you decide to remove the sale price and sell the product for the regular price, the RRP will automatically be shown again (in case you have set an RRP).
How do RRP and reference price relate?
If you set an RRP for a product, the reference price will still be calculated based on the price. The RRP is not taken into account for that calculation.
